Guzu Gallery Presents
The POPular Vote: A Political (& Not-So-Political) Art Show

May 14, 2016 - June 7, 2016
Opening Reception: Saturday, May 14 • 7-10pm

It's Spring 2016. The sky is a bright blue and the wind is gently blowing. The sun is shining, the birds are singing…and the pundits are…punditing? Of course! How could we forget? The election year is upon us. The sweet and sour bouquet of flowers and politics is still fresh in the air. It's completely unavoidable…and Guzu Gallery is diving in head first.

Sort of.

The way we see it, if there was ever an appropriate time to carry out a politically themed art show, now is that time. As the saying goes — if you can't beat 'em, join 'em — but let's be sure to mix it up and have a little fun along the way. The art in this show will run the gamut from satirical to sincere…lighthearted to profound. Some of the artwork is humorous, some is irreverent…and, of course, there are even a few serious pieces to round out the exhibition.

The opening reception will be on Saturday, May 14th from 7 to 10pm and the artwork will remain up through June 7th. Limited edition prints and original artwork will be available for purchase. As always, admission is free and all ages are welcome!

Guzu welcomes everyone to the show, but if you can't make it out, the artwork will be available for purchase in their online store on Monday, May 16th around Noon CST.

Stay tuned to Guzu Gallery's social media outlets for more info and sneak previews as the days get closer to show time!
